With the unveiling of the 2012 Hyundai Sonata, the Korean carmaker would all but trounce the sedan competition with its three pronged attack. If at first, the Sonata’s design aesthetics were too much to handle for other carmakers in the market, now they have a lot more to worry about given how much feature additions and trim packages will be made available in 2012 Sonata models. In terms of looks, the 2012 Sonata model sports an intriguing yet refreshing blend of curves and crests into the body’s design that sets it miles apart from the blandness of say a Camry or Fusion.
Whether this one aspect is going to work for the model for long is something that can only be speculated upon, but for now, Sonata is the go-to car for Hyundai and the latter is cashing it in a big way. While all Sonata engines are essentially four-cylinder, 2.4 liter, 200 hp types, the aspect of direct fuel injection along with the choice of either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission pairing works quite well for the model. Finally, it is fuel economy of the Sonata that drives the point home for the model and the Hyundai in general. With an awesome 35 mpg for a large car, there is simply no competition for the Sonata in this area.
If you are like me and started your search for a new truck you would begin by looking at what models are available from Chevy. There is a lot of competition in the truck market these days but traditionally Chevrolet builds some of my favorite models. What we’re interested in today though is what the lighter weight models like the Silverado 1500 are capable of towing.
